Frequently asked questions

Are the QR codes really free?

Yes. With a free account, all static QR codes are completely free — no watermarks or hidden limits, including logo embedding and high-resolution downloads. Dynamic QR codes with editing and scan tracking are currently free too while we are in beta.

Do my QR codes expire?

No. Static QR codes encode your data directly into the image, so they work forever. They do not depend on our servers in any way.

What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?

A static QR code stores your data permanently in the image and cannot be changed. A dynamic QR code points to a short redirect link, so you can edit the destination after printing and track every scan. Dynamic codes are coming soon.

Can I use the QR codes commercially?

Yes. Use them on packaging, menus, flyers, business cards, billboards — anywhere. There are no licensing restrictions.

Will adding a logo break my QR code?

No. We generate codes with the highest error-correction level (H), which tolerates up to 30% of the code being covered. Always test-scan before printing at scale.

Which format should I download?

Use SVG for print and professional design work (it scales infinitely), PNG for digital use with transparency support, and JPEG for smaller file sizes.
